Sabrina Ionescu's New York Liberty offseason includes some news. On Saturday, Ionescu announced that her boyfriend, Raiders reserve center Hroniss Grasu, proposed. “It’s always us here’s to forever with you 1.20.23 #finally,” Ionescu wrote in her post, with a heart emoji in the middle.

A backdrop of flowers and elevated candles surrounded the engagement scene, where Grasu awaited Ionescu's arrival and proposed. The athletic careers of Grasu and Ionescu never overlapped at Oregon.

After Grasu was drafted, Ionescu started at Oregon. In 2020, she was selected No. 1 by the Liberty in the WNBA Draft. During her first pro season, she missed all but three games because of an ankle injury.
