Mark Allen apologized to ITV after admitting to snorting like a dog during his World Grand Prix win. The 36-year-old Allen led 6-2 before Trump tied things up at 8-8 in Sunday's final.

In the end, Allen won the match 10-9 in the deciding frame to claim his third ranking title of the year. In fine form, the Northern Irishman was delighted with the win.

Presenter Rob Walker swiftly apologized on his behalf after he produced an X-rated post-match interview. Allen told ITV: "I was shaking like a dog there!" One person said on social media: "What a match, what a fightback from Judd, summed up perfectly by the winner".

Another added: "One of the great post-match quotes from Mark Allen there". And a third said: "You don't get this colour over at the BBC with its winged-back chairs and snuff boxes". Elaborating on the topsy-turvy match, Allen added: "I said to Judd at the end, he had me completely gone.

"It's not often I go, I feel like I'm pretty good under pressure, but I was completely gone there. "He put me under all sorts of pressure tonight and I absolutely fell over the line there.

'It's one of those things. Judd is a great competitor and he made a couple of breaks to look so comfortable. "I'm very proud of myself that I got over the line but I've felt better."

Allen is an outsider for the snooker world championship in April. There will be familiar favorites including Ronnie O'Sullivan, Trump, Neil Robertson, and Mark Selby.
