Madonna Boot Camp Won by Julia Garner

Madonna's boot camp was a waste of time. Madonna's upcoming world tour has forced Variety to scrap the upcoming biopic starring Julia Garner.

The extravaganza was set to be directed by Madonna herself before she embarked on a career-spanning tour. Amy Pascal was producing the film, and Diablo Cody wrote the screenplay - and even did a chaotic live writing session on Instagram with Madonna in 2020.

A biography about the '80s icon's life is reportedly no longer in development at Universal, but she hopes to make one day. A rep for Madonna reached out to Vulture.

The Material Girl and her casting director held ruthless boot camps for promising young actresses - Alexa Demie of Euphoria, Emma Laird of Mayor of Kingstown, and Odessa Young of Mothering Sunday

when the project was still in the works. Also in the running were Florence Pugh, Bebe Rexha, and Sky Ferreira, according to the Hollywood Reporter.

The boot camp consisted of 11-hour days that included choreography sessions with both Ms. Madonna and a choreographer, as well as an intensive callback that included readings and singing auditions.

The best she can hope for is VIP seats to sold-out shows.
