U2 has partnered with Madison Square Garden to launch its MSG Sphere arena in Las Vegas - but some insiders worry it'll fuel a "unforgettable fire" that's eating away at the company's cash flow.

It is reported that the billionaire Knicks owner has quietly agreed to pay the legendary rock group $10 million to perform at the MSG Sphere, a 17,500-seat ball-shaped arena designed to be the world's ultimate concert venue.

Moreover, U2 will receive more than 90% of earnings from ticket sales for about 12 shows - with the first set for around Sept. 29 and the rest spread over a few months, according to sources briefed on the negotiations.

In an over-the-top Super Bowl ad this weekend, Bono and his bandmates were giggling and gawking at the still-under-construction arena in an over-the-top ad depicting it as a spaceship descending into the Nevada desert with the crowd. The generous package for U2 is fueling anxiety about the MSG Sphere.

“The Madison Square Garden Entertainment spokesperson told The Post that the company is very confident in the investment made with U2 as the opening act for the Sphere.

As The Post reported, Dolan reshuffled top management at MSG Sphere on Tuesday night, making himself president of the operation as it prepares to open in September. Lucas Watson, MSG Sphere's top executive, has resigned effective immediately, Dolan said in an internal memo. According to the memo, Jenna Wolfenson is also leaving.
